Scent of a Falling Dark was an exhibition of paintings and linocut prints held in 2018 which drew on historical images of the thylacine to focus on themes of loss, endangerment and extinction. Below is a small selection of the work shown. The first painting, At Dove Lake, presents an encounter between a canine and a thylacine. To me its like the threshold of colonisation, where the endemic and introduced species meet.
