The Road to Denmark series

Inspired in part by the tenacity shown by Japanese woodblock printer Hiroshige who produced a hundred prints commemorating different views of Tokyo (‘One Hundred Famous Views of Edo’), this series (a work in progress) is of Denmark places, beginning with the road to Denmark and specific places off the Bibbulmun track.

The Denmark series is both a celebration of place and an expression of concern for an environment experiencing visible climate change. Once one of the wettest parts of the state, Denmark now faces a drying climate to such an extent that a pipeline is being built to pump water from Albany.
